For our division Fashion & Luxury, we are currently recruiting for a Demand Planner for an international jeans wear brand.
Job description:
In the role of Demand Planner you are responsible for coordinating product demand in accordance with the sales plan. You partner with assigned European markets to forecast product demand within a target range of sales plan, adjusting as when business environment requires. You support forecast upload process of markets and ensures quality of data in system. You review forecasted demand of assigned markets and adjust as business environment requires. On the buying side; you procure products, revise data, review purchase requisition suggestions from MRP, and take minimum buying decisions to ensure inventory availability in line with agreed objectives and deadlines. You monitor purchase requisition conversion into purchase order and factory acceptance. You assist assigned markets with questions on sales order entry, buying decisions and product availability. You deliver Forecast & Buy reports for senior management. You execute important sales initiatives, including strategic buys. On the inventory side; you optimise regional sales opportunity of inventory, analyse excess inventory to support inventory management and retail with sales opportunities and programs. You review provision reserves on aged inventory on a monthly basis. You look for opportunities to cancel/delay purchase orders as demand fluctuates. You partner with Allocation Coordinator on product delays, airfreight request, and market priorities. You produce reports that inform the organisation of the inventory situation.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate Skillz Recruitment is looking for has a Bachelor degree, preferably in Business. You have a background in master scheduling, forecasting, procurement and planning. You are highly skilled in the demand planning process within the Fashion Industry. You have experience with planning modules within any ERP system (PeopleSoft/JDE or others). You have knowledge of demand management forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues. You have strong mathematical abilities and spreadsheet analysis. You have knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions etc., and the ability to lead cross-functionally. You have good communications and team building skills, are detail oriented and extreme accurate. Affinity with the fashion industry is a must as well as good knowledge of the English language.
