For our division Footwear & Accessories, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer Accessories for an international company specialist in fashion accessories in Portugal.
Job description:
In the role of Senior Buyer Accessories you will be responsible for significant sales and profit impact. You will select and purchases merchandise including type, quality, source, timing, delivery, mix and promotion for assigned merchandise category. You will create and implement plans to maximise gross profit by coordinating sales, gross margin, inventory turnover, cost of promotion and markdowns for assigned categories. You will achieve assigned goals and objectives including gross margin, sales and total inventory turn. You select and evaluate vendors and negotiate product costs. The merchandise includes accessories (shoes, bags, belts, hats, sunglasses, leather goods, scarves and soft accessories ranges). You will be up to date on all the accessories trends and be able to build directional accessories ranges working closely with your designers and merchandisers.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate Skillz Recruitment is looking for has a Bachelor or a Master degree, preferably in Fashion, Retail Merchandising, Marketing or Business. You have a proven track record in buying accessories, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills. You must have strong relations with your suppliers to ensure you get the right products in your range. You have a high degree of analytical and negotiating skills and solid coaching/mentoring skills. Furthermore you are fluent in English (preferably also speaks Portuguese).
